For
three generations, the Hartman family has proudly served the
business and government communities in the southern Puget Sound
region of Washington state.
Bill
Hartman, Sr., founded CBM in 1952 as an office machine
dealership. Bill sold and serviced state-of-the-art cash registers,
calculators and typewriters. CBM quickly gained a reputation for
providing high-quality equipment at fair prices with excellent
customer service and training. Bill passed away on August 27th, 2006.
Donald
Hartman, Sr., purchased CBM from his father, Bill. Donald
expanded the business and is credited with introducing electronic
cash management machines, voice dictation technology, electronic
typewriters, word processors and computers to CBM’s Western
Washington clientele. Donald has happily retired to a lifestyle
filled with sports and wildlife.
Dean
Hartman currently serves as CBM’s President. Dean began his
career with CBM as a Copier Technician trainee and learned about the
business from a customer-service perspective. After servicing CBM’s
clientele as a skilled Technician, Dean joined the ranks of the
Sales Department and quickly learned about managing accounts and
meeting monthly quotas! Today, Dean is busy expanding the scope and
depth of CBM’s multiple product lines, managing day-to-day business
operations and coaching the Sales Department’s staff members.
Don Hartman serves Washington State’s myriad departments, agencies and higher education institutions as CBM’s Government Accounts Manager. Don’s sincere desire to meet Washington’s needs for productivity and efficiency keeps him busy year-around.
Clients often discover he’s thoroughly researched and compiled the most economical and cost-effective solutions for their offices before they’ve asked for it!
